Job Summary
Cambrian Consulting is looking to hire a consultant who is a disciplined operator. This process-oriented individual will work on client projects to shape objectives, and ensure on-time delivery of business and technology projects. Key to his/her success is having a strong understanding of business, technology and operations within a complex global organization.
Candidates should have a track record of success working for a top-rated consulting firm and Wall Street. We are specifically looking for individuals who can leverage the structure they have gained from their consulting experience, but understand the realities of implementing changes within a Wall Street culture.
Skills and Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years total work experience ideally from an analytically intensive role (i.e. finance, banking, consulting).
- Demonstrable analytical proficiency; ability to process large amounts of quantitative and qualitative information; ability to draw creative insights based on independent analysis.
- A good understanding of the technical and management issues involved in making technology work within the business environment.
- A successful track record on project assignments gained within leading global Financial Services organizations.
- Extremely motivated individual with a strong work ethic and proven interpersonal skills.
- Team player with a very strong sense of integrity and who works well in stressful situations (infrequent but unavoidable).
- Entrepreneurial experience and familiarity.
- Track record of excellent, trusting relationships built quickly and sustained over time.
- Track record of effective leadership and change management.
- Proven examples of thought leadership, demonstrating credibility, stature and expertise with clients and prospects.
Location
- This role will be based in New York City. Travel will be required to clients’ offices.
Job Summary
Candidates should have a track record of success working for a management consulting firm and in industry. We are seeking individuals who can leverage the structure they have gained from their consulting experience, but understand the realities of implementing change within Financial Services firms. The ideal candidate will be able to lead in planning, tracking and running complex projects and project teams in the design and development of innovative long-term business strategies for our clients. Experience in developing and assessing business requirements for portfolio construction, optimization, trading and reporting as well as attribution and risk and assessing vendor platforms to support global business models is required.
Skills and Qualifications
- 6 to 10 years total work experience ideally from an analytically intensive role (i.e. finance, banking, consulting).
- Thorough knowledge of entire front to back office procedures, operations, and systems involved in the trade lifecycle of equity, fixed income and their derivative products.
- Prime Brokerage experience from a managerial perspective, experience with overseeing product trade flows and settlement from a high volume firm.
- Demonstrable analytical proficiency; ability to process large amounts of quantitative and qualitative information; ability to draw creative insights based on independent analysis.
- Extremely motivated individual with a strong work ethic and proven interpersonal skills.
- Team player with a very strong sense of integrity and who works well in stressful situations (infrequent but unavoidable).
- Availability and appetite for business travel is necessary and an immediate start date is preferred.
